Ranbaxy Posts Q3 Loss Of Rs 1030cr; Revenue At Rs 2619cr

Troubled pharmaceuticals firm Ranbaxy Laboratories consolidated posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 1,030 crore compared to Rs 159 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenues dipped to Rs 2618.8 crore, compared to Rs 2,893.9 crore YoY.

Revenues too dipped to Rs 2618.8 crore, compared to Rs 2,893.9 crore YoY. A CNBC-TV18 poll of analysts had expected the firm to clock revenues of Rs 3,236 crore. 

The large loss was driven a high tax expense of Rs 888 crore and forex loss of Rs 15.2 crore. At the operating level, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization stood at Rs 113 crore, down 58.1 percent compared to Rs 270 crore YoY.
